Notary & RON Services
The primary function of a notary public is to prevent fraud…….. I do this by requiring the physical presence of the signer, making a positive identification of the signer, and placing the signer under oath or affirmation, or taking the acknowledgment of the signer that the document was signed willingly. A Notary Public is the disinterested party that has notified the signer of the importance of the document, and the signer has declared that their identity, signature, and reasons for signing are genuine.
The Function of a Notary
Finally, I will verify the competence of the signer. The presence of the Notary Public’s signature and the seal does not prove conclusively any of the factual components of the document but should allow persons in commerce to rely upon the integrity of the Notary Public as a third party with no personal interest in the transaction.
- The notary does not guarantee the truth or accuracy of the document.
A Notary Signing Agent or NSA is a Notary who has special training to handle loan document signings. Title companies and signing services hire NSAs to deliver loan documents to borrowers, oversee the signing and return the documents.
Remote online notarization (RON) is powering everything from real estate closings to small business lending. Automate your business and make online notarization part of your next-generation customer experience.
As a “Texas Notary Public” I am a public servant with statewide jurisdiction who is authorized to take acknowledgments, protest instruments permitted by law to be protested (primarily negotiable instruments and bills and notes), administer oaths, take depositions, and certify copies of documents not recordable in the public records.
Texas Notary Public’s are not attorneys or a law office; we are not licensed to practice law in Texas and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice. Under the Texas Admin. Code 87.43, A Notary Public is prohibited by law to act in the capacity of an attorney, give advice in preparing legal documents, issue identification cards, distribute confidential information or perform any notarial act unless the signer is present.
